"I had the pleasure of reading UNPETALED and am deeply moved by the read. The Holy Spirit is all over the writing. It will lead countless souls (and those who accompany them) to freedom. This is a retreat book that I would 100% recommend." Joy, Ph.D.
UNPETALED: A Guided Retreat For Learning to Live Again
This Guided Retreat builds upon Sister Mary Eucharista's first book: Learning to Live Again. It is meant to provide healing and guidance for those who have suffered through spiritual abuse, unhealthy beliefs and practices, and loss of identity - and for those who accompany them. Though it is written from the perspective of religious life, many of these themes are part of every human journey and this retreat can be an aid in healing for anyone as they till the soil of their soul to receive the new seeds given by the Heart of the Lord and to reclaim the truth, goodness, and beauty of life that He offers.

Full Description of the UNPETALED Guided Retreat
Many saints and spiritual writers have used the image of a flower unpetaled to symbolize a soul totally surrendered to God. Petal by petal is dropped for the sake of Love and a life is given in the service of the Gospel. But what happens when the gift of one's whole life is suddenly put into question, because the purpose to which (or the people to whom) it was entrusted proves to be untrustworthy? What happens if that surrender is betrayed or feels as if it has been wasted? What happens if those petals aren't actually unpetaled of their own accord but rather, have been pulled off by another? The flower stands stripped, in shock of what has been lost and unsure of where to turn.
This retreat is meant to provide a space of healing and guidance for those who have suffered through spiritual abuse, unhealthy beliefs and practices, and loss of identity - and for those who accompany them. Though it is written from the perspective of religious life, many of these themes are part of every human journey and this retreat can be an aid in healing for anyone. Using the Parable of the Seed and the Sower, it provides practical applications, tools, knowledge and hope to those on the journey of restoration and renewal as they till the soil of the soul to receive the new seeds given by the Heart of the Lord and to reclaim the truth, goodness, and beauty of life that He offers.
Your gift wasn't wasted. Your life has meaning.
Your heart can find healing.
