Our Charism

The healing of all creation began with Mary's Immaculate Conception. The event of the Immaculate Conception is the precursor of the Divine Mystery of our salvation. Our Charism of Healing Love flows out of this wondrous Mystery.

The Daughters of Mary, Mother of Healing Love are being led by the Holy Spirit through the charism of Healing Love for the evangelization of individuals and families. We live a life of total consecration to Jesus through Mary so as to more fully receive the Healing Love of Jesus into our own hearts and then to bring that Healing Love to others. 

We accomplish this through:

• Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary
• Personal Healing & Sanctification
• Community Life
• Service & Apostolic Works. 

Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary

“Mary, completely united to the Divine Will, first bore Christ in her heart then, in her body gave Life to the world.” (cf. Lumen Gentium)

He, Who is Healing Love, can only be born in our hearts by our habitually depending on Mary. Surrendering the entirety of ourselves through total consecration to Jesus through Mary, we give her permission to transform our hearts and souls, becoming so identified with her (through an exchange of hearts) that we are with her always and everywhere. Contemplating the beauty of Mary's virtues and allowing her to live and work through us, even in the ordinary actions of everyday life, we manifest her presence wherever we go.

Personal Healing & Sanctification

Through total consecration to Jesus through Mary, the Fire of the Holy Spirit draws us by desire into Mary's School of Healing Love-which is God Himself, where we learn that in order to change the world, it is necessary first to allow God to change our own hearts. From within our Mother's Immaculate Heart, we are to discover Her intense desire for the Father, Her receptivity to the Word, and Her prompt and radical response to the Holy Spirit. Mary, Spouse of the Holy Spirit and Mother of Healing Love, leads each Sister ever deeper into the Eucharistic Heart of Her Son.  Through daily prayer, Adoration of Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament, the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, meditation on the Sacred Scriptures, the Holy Rosary and frequent reception of the Sacrament of Reconciliation, the Sisters experience a gradual transformation of repentance, inner healing, sanctification and wholeness.

Healing Love in Community Life

Experiencing the tenderness of the Healing Love of God, compels each Sister to treat others with the same tenderness that they themselves have received - beginning with those of the same Community and household. Community Life is integral to the work of the Daughters of Mary and we seek to live this Community Life in imitation of the Holy Family.  Attentive to the beauty and value of each individual, the Sisters foster an environment of love, friendship, service and genuine affirmation among themselves, building one another up in Healing Love. The Community welcomes, encourages and seeks to further develop the unique healing charisms which God nurtures in each Sister and views these gifts as essential means of building up the Community and the Church.

 Service  &  Apostolic Works: Healed in Love, Sent to Serve

Healed in Love and docile to the Holy Spirit, the Sisters are sent to serve beyond our Community to assist and accompany the broken Body of Christ (individuals and families) toward wholeness and holiness. The Daughters of Mary joyfully rush to share the reflection of the Beautiful Face of God and His Healing Love through a variety of apostolates. 

In this way, through Her Daughters who are clothed in the light of her Immaculate Conception and carrying Christ within, Mary enters every family, bringing Healing Love into the world...over and over again.
